
Roxana Cristescu - Adviser
Roxana Cristescu is an adviser at CMI working with the organisation’s mediation related activities. Ms. Cristescu leads on the implementation of a series of CMI projects in the South Caucasus and Moldova. Ms. Cristescu is also currently leading on a CMI project entitled “Creating Improved Capacities for International Peace Mediation”, which focuses on supporting the development of peace mediation capacities among Regional Organizations.
Her responsibilities include managing CMI’s strand in the “European Partnership for the Peaceful Settlement of the Conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh (EPNK)”, managing CMI support to the peace process in Moldova/Transdniestria, as well as supporting CMI’s engagement in providing mediation support to regional organisations (EU, ASEAN , AU).
Before joining CMI, Roxana worked for various peacebuilding and mediation projects in Ethiopia, Sudan, Kosovo (Mitrovica Region), Moldova/Transdniestria, Ukraine and Lebanon. Roxana Cristescu holds a BA in Political Sciences from the University of Bucharest. In addition she holds two master degrees from Florence and Rome University in Mediation and Security Studies. Currently she has enrolled for a Master of Science in Mediation studies at Queens University, Belfast
