Funding
CMI’s total income in 2010 was €3.6 million. The percentage of growth compared to the previous year is 116%.
The majority of CMI’s funding—about 50%—comes from the Government of Finland. Other European governments as well as the European Commission are also important supporters. Efforts to broaden the source of funding have been successful and the number of donors was almost doubled during the year.
These efforts continue in 2011: a fundraising permit was acquired and a fundraising website was opened as part of CMI’s 10th anniversary celebrations. The collaboration with private sector companies is in its early stages, but looks promising.
